The direction of your eyes reveals an impressive amount of information! The execution of a precise eye movement requires a combination of bottom-up
and top-down information and, therefore, they can be used in many disciplines. When eye movements are analysed from an eye specialist perspective they
may revel good or bad vision, if is a neuroscientist they may revel attention or
the lack of it and if is a linguist they may reveal the ability to learn a language.
In this talk, I will start with an overview of the field and a brief historical
perspective. After, and based in my previous research, I will explain how eye
movements can be used to investigate vision and cognition in health and
disease.
